A little more Christmas

Just kidding. I really did finish putting away all of my Christmas things today. Every last one of them...I hate to see them go. I also like how nice and tidy things look when it is all gone.

I have yet to share with you one of my favorite gifts this year. I have really been looking at this nativity candle holder.

I love it. It is actually on sale now so I might just go ahead and buy it! Ha! I love the idea and think that is something you can leave out year round. Well this year my Pastor, his wife Jody and their twins Noah and Drew bought me this (I am their Sunday School teacher)

Isn't it beautiful? And it is hand made!! So it now has a permanent place in my living room. Love it!

As a little present to ourselves for finishing all the paperwork I ordered us this:

It came today and I was thrilled. I can not wait to gift it to our son or daughter one day. It is the most beautiful book ever. It is written just like a storybook. Listen to what the very first page says:

"Go wrote, "I love you"- he wrote it in the sky, and on the earth, and under the sea. He wrote his message everywhere! Because God created everything in his world to reflect him like a mirror - to show us what he is like, to help us know him, to make our hearts sing.
The way a kitten chases her tail. The way red poppies grow wild.
The way a dolphin swims.
And God put it into words, too, and wrote it in a book called the Bible"

Ahhh! I love it. I find myself getting lost in the story.

I finished my little Valentine's Day craft today. I will post some pictures tomorrow. It turned out better than I thought they would. Artie even said they were "cute". Ha! I hope everyone had a great Saturday!

I love the candles from The story book sounds awesome too! I find myself buying books for our "future children" too. I think it increases my faith to believe that God will hear our prayers and give us a child.

That candle holder from dayspring is one of the only things that I really wanted this year... didn't break down and buy it but if its one SALE now that is a different story! LOL
