I am a wife and a Christmas Shop owner living in the oldest town in Tennessee. I long to be a mother but am walking the road of infertility. Through the blessing of adoption my and my husband's dreams are coming true! I love my husband, laughter, ALL THINGS CHRISTMAS and getting to know my incredible Savior, one journey at a time.
I would love to hear from you! Feel free to email me at smalltownheather@yahoo.com
Saturday, Ashley and I decorated for her niece's birthday! It was a Barbie Party!! Her mom put us in charge so she would not be stressed out about it. It was held at the local YMCA and turned out very cute. We even invited "Barbie" to come! It was actually one of the majorettes in a wig ha! The little girls loved it though!

We had a manicure and tattoo(for the little boys) station for everyone...but didn't think tattoo parlor looked too good on the sign haha!
What a wonderful Sunday we had! Yesterday Grayson was Baptized in our church. It was such a special service and made me feel so blessed to be a part of this congregation. Austin sang so beautifully one of my favorite songs "Come To Jesus" by Chris Rice. I just sat and cried and cried. After church a big group went out to lunch. The table was HUGE! It was really a great day and I am so glad we got to share it with all the special people in our life.

I pray that you remember your Baptism this week and be fully restored in Him.
"For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Galatians 3:27-28 NIV
This weekend was a whirlwind! A football game on Friday, a birthday party Saturday, Baptism and another birthday party today! Whew! Two words for you- WORN OUT! I have taken one million pictures this weekend. I am working on editing and uploading them as we speak. This was a wonderful weekend and I can not wait to share it with you! In the mean time here is a picture of someone on his 7 week birthday! He started smiling this week! I have been trying to get a picture of him doing it but he stops the second I get the camera out. This is as close as I could get boo!
Sorry it has been a while since I last posted. Fall is such a busy time for me and now that Grayson is here it is downright hectic!
Sunday evening my friends Ashley and Alison hosted a "sip and see" shower for Grayson! The band family had been wanting to do something for me and so they spear headed it up. It was so much fun. A local farm has a beautiful pavilion and so they planned a rustic event. The theme was Cute As A Button and it was as the name implies! Ha! The food was sooo good! They brought crock pots of chili, lemonade, sweet tea, and PIES!!! I like cake but I LOVE PIE, it was truly a country affair. The only sipping was of the sweet tea...we chowed down!

Artie, Grayson and I have been so blessed by our friends and family. We are really grateful to be surrounded by love.
Sunday I was invited to an engagement party for my friend Melissa. It was held at her grandfather's lake house and was a beautiful day! Everyone went out on the family's boats to ski and tube but I am not a boat person. I get very motion sick and just can not handle the waves! So Ashley and Angela stayed behind with me and things got a little silly...
I am trying not to throw up on the dock in this picture...
It was rocking wildly from all the waves on the lake.
I am so excited because I get to be a bridesmaid in her wedding next May. I am looking forward to being a part of her special day. Yay! I also love that I can still be silly with my friends. We are complete goofballs. I hope that never changes.
This weekend kicked off with a bon fire pep rally on Thursday night. The girls did such a great job and the seniors got to twirl fire batons! They were pumped! Our football field is turf and we are not allowed to use them on Friday nights BOO. There were a lot of people there getting pumped for the football game the next day.

Friday was the first home game for the girls and they did a great job! Ashley and I were so very proud. We got to debut our new uniforms and everyone LOVED them. We won the game and all had a great time. I really love Friday nights because it is kind of like a date night for Artie and I. He always comes to the games with me AND videos during halftime. Smooshy stays with his Mimi while we are at the games so he does not have to be around the heat and the people. I LOVE FOOTBALL SEASON!!!
Here are some pictures from the game and a video of their performance.
The show this year is "Now That's What I Call The 80's!"
The song list includes:
I Want My MTV, Eye of the Tiger, Bad, Mr. Roboto, Danger Zone, and Don't Stop Believing.
