Bridal Shower

I am trying to play catch up with my blog posts!

In November I hosted a bridal shower for Grayson's birth mom!  It was a wonderful day and I was so happy to celebrate her!

It didn't really have a theme.  I wanted it to be fallish without the pumpkins and such.

The bride loves cookies so I created a cookie favor bar

The cookies were heavenly! Yum!

I provided little slips of paper for the guests to write well wishes to the bride and groom.
They could hang them on the tree afterwards.

This paper created the "theme"

The bride and mother of the bride. So pretty!

The blessing tree afterwards!

I have a funny story about the shower.  I decided to have a few different types of cheeses set out to snack on.  I went to the grocery store to pick out 3 or 4 types of cheese.  I LOVE cheese...any kind of cheese.  I wanted to get something that I had not tried before so I picked up sheep's milk cheese. I didn't look at the price and assumed it was in the $5-8 range that the others were in.  Artie put the groceries away while I took care of Grayson.  All of a sudden Artie said my full name...I ran in the kitchen to see what I had done.  The sheep cheese was $29!!!!!  Evidently I was not paying attention AT ALL.  Oooppps.  It ended up being DELICIOUS!!  (luckily)

Halloween 2012

I have several things that I want to post about but didn't have the time to in the fall!  One being Halloween!

I love our little Halloween traditions that we are developing!  Since Grayson doesn't really eat candy (well we don't let him haha) we have been driving to visit our favorite people.  This works out great because we don't have to explain to Grayson why he can't eat the candy he would collect while trick or treating.

Some pictures of our little monster before we left!

First stop Aunt Margie and Uncle Homer

Next up Mimi and Pop Pop's house

LEAVES!!!!

Mimi and Pop Pop bought Grayson some little fun things for Halloween.
He was EXCITED!!!!

Off to see Rick and Beth

And to pet Eve!

Austin's house was next!

And they bought him a cute little gift as well...notice a trend? :)

Last stop was Aya's house!
This is Devyn, Aya's neice

Oh Aya!
and another sweet gift for Grayson!

I am glad we have our traditions and hope we can do them year after year.  I love making a special visit to the people who LOVE our baby!

Christmas 2012

I hope you all had a joyful Christmas!  Poor little buddy was SO sick...Christmas Eve morning he spiked a fever and it was hard to get under control.  It hurt my heart to know that he did not feel well.  Grayson was a champ though and was in pretty good spirits considering what the thermometer read.

Christmas Eve and his cookies for Santa

I was trying to get a picture of his cute pajamas but he was done with the day.

Christmas morning was a little rough because Grayson was up ALL night long :(
but once he saw the train table Santa brought....he perked right up!

Mimi and Pop Pop came for breakfast

Christmas night we went to Mimi and Pop Pop's house for dinner.
Gray received a video camera for Christmas and he was trying it out!
Daddy got it set up for him.

Tee hee...wonder where he has seen that before?

Showing Aunt Margie and Uncle Homer his new fire truck

Sweet boy with his great great Aunt and Uncle!

Oh that Aya haha

Aya and Grayson have their own game that they play together

It is tradition to get an Aya/Graybie picture every Christmas!

5 years!

Today Artie and I have been married for 5 years!

There were some days I didn't know if we were going to make it 5 years.
(Infertility and adoption are HARD on a marriage...can I get an Amen?)

Here is to the next 5 years....hopefully they will be a little more boring ;)
Happy Anniversary Artie!  I love you!
