Silly Boy

A series of text messages between my husband and myself today. He was attending the orange and white game for UT. This year the team has a new head coach.

Husband- "Coach was in an Armani suit"

Me-" That's funny"

Husband- "and he is not fat"

Me-"Huh? What do you mean?"

Husband-"Phil (the old coach) could not have worn that...
Coach did and he ROCKED it!"

I think my husband has a man crush on the new football coach.

Easter Egg Hunt

This year I was put in charge of our Easter egg hunt at church. The youth group helps put it together and we hide 1200 eggs filled with candy. This year the kids got to decorate eggs and cookies. It was a hit! Next on the agenda is working on vacation bible school. Here are some pictures from the day...enjoy!

Yummy Recipe

This weekend Artie's best friend in the whole world came for a visit. He will be moving to our area in a couple of months and needed to look for a place to live. Having 2 boys in the house means lots of food to be consumed! I decided to make something yummy for breakfast that could feed a lot of people...or 2 very hungry boys. This is a recipe for the most delicious french toast ever. I usually make this for Christmas because I can prepare it the night before. I pop it in the oven when I wake up and it is ready in no time. There are not any measurements and you can not mess it up. This will make about 15 pieces of french toast.

1 baguette of french bread
1 pint Heavy Whipping Cream
1 can sweetened condensed milk (God sure knew what he was doing when he made this)
2 eggs
cinnamon

I cut the bread and put it in a corning wear dish. Next mix all the ingredients together and pour over the bread. I cover it with plastic wrap and let it sit over night. Pull it out in the morning and bake at 375 degrees for about 25 minutes. The only tricky part...half way through the cook time turn each piece over. Then serve with your favorite syrup! Yum Yum!

Bump It

Ya'll....I am not even kidding when I say this. I LOVE the BumpIt. Have you seen the commercial? It cracks me up every time...but it works. Audra bought one to use for her wedding and we had the best time using them. If I had longer hair I would TOTALLY buy one for myself! It actually made doing her hair on her wedding day quick and easy!
Please go to the website and watch the video...my favorite part is when they say "Have fun and bump that pony!" Hahahaha

New addiction

As we all know I have been adjusting to the move from the big city to the country. ok ok...I know, I really am trying. Well all was going well until I was introduced to the Starbucks Iced Chai Tea. I love them....I crave them and there is not a Starbucks within 20 miles. I think that because it is so far away it makes me want one even more. Oh my heavens...how could I move to a place that is not even civilized enough to have a Starbucks?!? That totally should have been a deal breaker.

Goin to the chapel

This past weekend my best friend Audra was married! I was able to go to Alabama on Wednesday to help her prepare. Audra and I had such a great time! I had a blast at her wedding and the after party. Her parents decided to open up their house after the reception for karaoke and dancing. I must say that this was the first time I have ever done karaoke and it was so fun!!! Audra is now (as I type) in Ireland on her honeymoon! Here are some pictures but my camera died at the reception...sad.
